As you know, there is a very important election on Tuesday. This
election will have an important impact on not only the future of our country
but also the future of our schools and children. Over the past several years, West Clermont has made millions of dollars in cuts while trying to maintain a quality education
for our students. The State of Ohio has placed West Clermont in Fiscal Watch and our State performance
rating for West Clermont has
fallen from Excellent with Distinction to Effective due to the massive reductions in resources. The future of our schools, our
community and, most importantly, our kids are in jeopardy. I encourage all
parents to exercise their right to vote on Tuesday. The polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
This week Kindergarten B comes to school on Friday.
Remember that there is no school for students on Tuesday. Teachers
will be at an inservice.
Wednesday evening there is a West Clermont Board of Education meeting at 7:00pm at the Union Township Civic Center.
Friday is our annual Veterans’ Day assembly. We will start
at 9:45. Please make sure the Veterans in your family are invited.
Also on Friday, report cards are carried home by students. Please
make sure to ask for them.
We intended to pass out prizes from School Mall on Friday, but
the response was so good that we did not have enough prizes. We decided since we
didn’t have enough for everyone, we would not pass them out but wait until
everyone who earned a prize can get one!
Looking ahead, picture re-take day is November 13. All newly
enrolled students and students who were absent on September 13 which was picture
day will have pictures taken. Also mark your calendars for the Book Fair on
November 12-16.
Have a great week!
