Weekly Update - October 28, 2012

This Friday is a Kindergarten A day.

Our students enjoyed playing outside at recess during the great weather last week. Please remember that if it is above freezing and not raining, students play outside at recess. Please make sure they are dressed properly and have appropriate footwear.

I hope you remember School Mall. Last year the Merwin PTO sponsored School Mall and it was a huge success. The great part about this fundraiser is that you do not have to buy anything! The PTO gets money for the booklets that are filled out. If you buy a magazine, we do get money, but you do not have to buy anything. Students will see a short video of how School Mall works and then will bring the booklet home to you. Please fill it out and return it to school.

Also on Monday, we are taking classroom candid pictures. All student are asked to wear red, white and/or blue.

Remember that Harvest Parties are Tuesday for Kindergarten B and Wednesday for everyone else. Parties start at 1:15 and end at 2:00. All party planners and helpers must leave the parking lot no later than 2:30 to accommodate dismissal. Party planners and helpers may sign out children in the classroom without penalty.

The PTO Campbell’s Label Contest begins this week on Thursday and runs the entire month of November.

Don’t forget that the annual Merwin Veteran’s Assembly is scheduled for Friday, November 9 at 9:45. Please invite your family vets.
