New Study Island contest for April: The student who answers the most Reading questions with the highest percent of accuracy will be allowed to shadow any adult on our staff for one day. You can be Teacher for the Day, Principal for the Day, Mr. Jeremy for the Day, Librarian for the Day, or Secretary for the Day. You decide who you want to shadow if you win. The contest ends at midnight on April 30th.
We have finally been given a date for the game truck (from the Technology fundraiser) to return to Merwin. You may remember the original date was a snow day. The truck will be here on May 10.
Specials for the week are: Monday/Green, Tuesday/Blue, Wednesday/Red, Thursday/Yellow, and Friday/Green.
The last session of Mad Science classes begin after school on Monday. You can still register!
Wednesday students will carry home report cards for third quarter. Remember that report cards are held for unpaid fees. To make arrangements to pay fees, call Mrs. Ogden in the office.
Also on Wednesday the Flying Pig team will practice their 6th mile. The Pig Rig will stop by practice with the Flying pig mascot. I hope you can join them.
The Amelia Middle school PTSO is meeting at 7:00 on April 12 and invites all Merwin 5th graders and their parents to attend.
April 5th and 6th Glen Este Youth Football and Cheerleading sign ups will be held in the GEMS multi-purpose room from 6-8 and 6-7:30. Flyers are available in the office.
A new Box Top contest for April has started.
