Hello Merwin Families,
Thank you to everyone for your patience during my absence
last week as my mother is extremely ill.
This week on Friday is Kindergarten B day. Also on Friday is Picture Day for all
students except Kindergarten A, which
will have their Picture Day the following Monday. You must pay for pictures on the day they are
taken.
If you are a 3rd grade parent, please mark Wednesday,
October 3rd as Fall OAA reading test, that is for all 3rd
graders and it is important to be at school all day and on time.
As you probably know, Election Day is November 6th.
As in the case of most general elections,
there are a variety of offices and important issues on the ballot. They can range from electing a president to local
issues like school levies and Americans will have a chance to cast their vote
to determine our country’s future. As a
service to our community, we would like to make registering to vote as simple
as possible. If you are not currently
registered, please stop by school and pick up a voter registration form. You may return your form to the school office
and we will make sure it gets to the Board of Elections by the October 9th
deadline. Thank you for setting a great
example for our young people by voting in the November election. Also remember that if you have changed your address
since the last time you voted you will need to re-register to vote. And if you have more than one person eligible
to vote in your household, you may also pick up a form for them.
