Weekly Update, February 5

The Kindergarten Schedule for this week is:  Group A comes Monday, Wednesday and Friday; Group B comes Tuesday and Thursday.

This is a busy week at Merwin.  We have the Book Fair and Jump Rope for the Heart.  

The schedule for the Book Fair is:
Monday: Brown, Thompson A, and Dodds A
Tuesday: Cann, Kuebel, Noble, Miller, Gabelman, Davis, Greer
Wednesday: Montavon, Love, Rees, Henshey, Lemaster, Orleck, Webb, O’Connor
Thursday: Shebesta, Blatt, Hamilton, Jacobs, Dean, Thompson B, Dodds B
Friday: Bradburn, Make-up for absences

The schedule for Jump Rope is:
Monday: Shebesta, Cann, Noble, Blatt, O’Connor
Tuesday: Montavon, Thompson B, Orleck, Kuebel, Davis
Wednesday: Miller, Rees, Hamilton, Greer, Webb
Thursday: Bradburn, Dodds B, Gabelman, Henshey, Love
Friday: Brown, Lemaster, Thompson A, Dodds A, Dean, Jacobs

Students need to wear gym shoes for jump rope activities.  Remember that we are collecting “change for the heart” each day this week which will benefit the American Heart Association.

The final evening for conferences this year will be Tuesday evening.  If you still need an appointment, contact Mrs. Ogden at school or the teacher. The Book Fair will also be open for parents to shop on Tuesday evening in the library.

The Valentine Parties will be held on February 14 and 15. There will be no parking on the grass nor driving through the grass.  Parties will start at 1:15 and end at 2:00.  Students may be signed out by parents who worked the party at 2:00 in their classrooms. All party workers must exit the parking lot by 2:15 in order to accommodate dismissal.  

Remember there is no school for students February 16 for teacher Professional Development.  There is also no school for students on February 17 for mid winter break and February 20 in observance of Presidents’ Day.  That provides a nice 5 day break for our families.
