Weekly Update, February 26

The Kindergarten schedule for this week is:  Group A comes Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Group B comes Tuesday and Thursday.

Monday night there is a Board of Education Meeting at the Civic Center at 7:00.  I encourage you to attend.

A big thank you to Angie Tucker and the PTO volunteers who made the Father Dance a hit again this year!  It is a favorite event each year.

I have exciting news for you!  The PTO has arranged a Merwin night at the Cincinnati Cyclones on Saturday, March 3rd at 7:30 in the US Bank Arena.  A flyer was carried home by students on Friday.  Tickets can be purchased during lunch each day this week!

The March PTO meeting is scheduled for March 8, but this month with a twist; the meeting will be held at 7:00 at the skating rink. That is the night of the PTO skating party so we are hoping to have a great turnout for the meeting.

Starting March 5, we will be collecting $6 per child to participate in C’Motion.  You may recall that we have had C’Motion in our building for the last few years.  It is a high energy fitness unit where students use the newest high tech equipment and have a great time using music!  C’Motion will be in the building for two weeks from March 19-30.  Our students have loved this activity in the past and we are happy to provide it as an activity to get the Mustangs up and moving.  Students will bring home information on March 1st with the March newsletter and we will begin collecting the money on March 5th.

We continue to get complaints from our neighbors about students and parents walking through their yards and parents driving/parking on the edge of their lawns.  Please help us keep our good neighbor status by respecting their property.  

We are once again having several parents come into the lot from the Merwin Ten Mile side.  This backs up our buses and causes a general slowdown.  Please follow our procedures to make dismissal run efficiently and safely.  And PLEASE do not use cell phones when you are driving on school grounds.

March 6 is election day and we WILL be in session.  With so many visitors at our school, arrival and dismissal may be a little slower than usual.  I will notify you of any changes as I am aware.
