Weekly Update

Thanks to the parents who called to report that the date to return to school in January was listed incorrectly in the December Newsletter.  We do return to school on Monday, January 3rd.

Specials for the week are Monday/Red; Tuesday/Yellow, Wednesday/Green, Thursday/Blue, Friday/Red.

Santa Shop is this week.  All items are $1.50 each.  Students brought home a sheet to discuss purchases with parents.  There is no make-up day for students who forgot their money, however students who are absent on their shopping day will be able to shop on Friday morning.  The schedule is:

Monday shoppers are:  Bossart, Davis, Gabelman, Noble, Sawyer, Bradburn
Tuesday shoppers are:  Rees, Greer, Blatt, Kuebel, Shebesta
Wednesday shoppers are:  Hamilton, Webb, Thompson, Love, Lemaster, Chandler
Thursday shoppers are:  Miller, Orleck, Dodds, Dean, Jacobs, Brown
Friday shoppers are:  Cann, Thompson, Dodds, Burnett

Wednesday the orders from the Principal’s Fundraiser will be carried home by students if the order is not too big to carry on the bus.  If it is, Mrs. Ogden will be at school in the library until 6:00 for parents to pick up orders.  Again, thanks to everyone who participated.  We will know how much we profited this week!

Wednesday evening is the Merwin DI fundraiser at Wendy’s by Kroger.  No coupon is necessary and a portion of your check will go to fund the DI program.

Thursday morning all 5th graders will travel to the AHS PAC to the Music Showcase.  This is a required trip which will help with middle school schedules once we return from winter break.  Make sure you have signed and returned the permission slip.  Thursday afternoon the Game Truck will be here for those students who qualified in the Principal’s Fundraiser.  Mrs. Ogden will notify students on Monday.

Friday is the annual Senior Citizen Holiday Assembly where our 5th graders provide necessities for seniors in our area and in return we are treated to a sing-along concert by the senior band.

Friday our students will carry home interim reports.

Remember that if school is canceled or delayed, I will send out a call on call command.  Please do not call school.  I will also record a message on 947-7898.

Dr. Brooks and  WC Board President Dan Krueger invite you for Coffee and Conversation on Saturday, December 18 from 8-10 at Chick-fil-a in Eastgate.
