Interim reports were carried home with students on Friday for students in grades 1-5. There is a letter attached concerning Reading Street grades. Hopefully you also received a copy of the October Newsletter. Remember that we are attempting to go paperless and therefore will not print newsletters for every student to carry home after this one. We will make the newsletter available on the Merwin website and if you returned the information sheet requesting a hard copy, we will be sending one home to you!
There is currently a contest for the class that purchases the most Frisch’s Halloween Coupons. The coupons are 10 for $1 and the class that buys the most will earn an extra recess. Frisch’s supplies our Dessert with the Principal every month and provides food for many staff events!
Specials for this week are: Monday is Blue Day; Tuesday is Red Day; Wednesday is Yellow Day; Thursday is Green Day; and Friday is Blue Day.
Monday after school the Mad Science classes and Girls on the Run will meet.
Tuesday and Wednesday COSI on Wheels will be at Merwin all day. Both days will start with an assembly to prepare the students who will visit the exhibits that day. We are still in need of volunteers each day so if you can help, please call school.
Wednesday after school Girls on the Run will meet in the Library and Dance Classes will be held at the usual times.
Thursday Mrs. Bossart’s and Mrs. Hamilton’s classes are traveling to the Nature Center. After school the Karate Club and Bowling classes will meet.
Friday Mrs. Rees’ and Mrs. Miller’s classes will travel to the Nature Center. Dance classes will be held at the usual times.
We will be doing SAT makeup testing all of next week!
